Join Massachusetts Ag in the Classroom for  “On the Road to the Farm” – a traveling conference! A full day of PD and Farm Tours in Central Massachusetts with breakfast, lunch, and all transportation provided! Limited number of seats available. Teachers will collaborate with fellow teachers and farmers to create an agricultural based lesson that they can use in their classroom.

• Teachers will receive hands-on experiences related to STEM and agriculture to increase their agricultural literacy and ability to apply lessons in the classroom.
• Awareness and understanding of economics of farming-How farming has changed over time due to costs, change in farming industry and needs of the farmers
• Teachers will gain a greater knowledge of the programs and grants available to them through MAC and NAITCO
• Teachers can earn 10 PDPs for attendance and submission of a written lesson plan.
• All lessons will be shared with attendees and, if accepted, in the National Agriculture in the Classroom Matrix
