Do you work with school-aged children? Are you concerned about climate change, but not sure you know enough to teach it with confidence? In this 3-part, online series, you will increase your understanding of climate change science and climate justice, gain practical approaches for teaching the topic to elementary-aged children, and leave with tools and strategies to teach about climate change in a hopeful and developmentally appropriate way. Participants will need a computer with a reliable internet connection, and access to a relatively quiet space in which to participate. Short readings and follow-up exercises will be sent ahead of each session. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for 6 hours (4.5 online, 1.5 on your own), which can be applied towards PDPs.
