We are looking for Maintenance Rangers to join our Recreation team for this position in Northfield, MA.
TRAINING IS PROVIDED
This is a TEMPORARY position from May 24-September 09, 2023 and will require weekends and holidays.
The schedule will be 8-9 hour shifts between the hours of 12:30 pm-9:00 pm.
The Maintenance Ranger will provide light maintenance, facility upkeep and customer support of the Northfield Mountain Recreation and Environmental Center in Northfield, MA.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Facilitate pleasant customer interactions and ensure customer satisfaction and safety at all times
Perform light maintenance including painting and repairs
Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of campgrounds including cleaning facilities and grounds
Provide customer service including explaining camping and area use policies
Perform safety training to customers
Issue rental canoes and kayaks, clean and load on trailer and storage rack
Operate pickup truck
Job Qualifications / Skills
High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong reading and writing skills and ability interpret and follow strict safety procedures
Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
Willingness to work weekends and holidays
Strong teamwork experience
Valid, clean MA driver’s license and must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to pass background and drug test
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of weather conditions such as rain and heat
Ability to be physically mobile and frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch
Must be able to walk up and down flights of stairs ladders, and ramps, balance, work on uneven surfaces, work in close quarters and carry up to 50 lbs.
