Marketing And Communications Manager

The Trustees of Reservations is seeing a Marketing & Communications Manager to join the Content Team. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and strategist with excellent writing skills and knowledge of standard marketing and public relations channels. The manager should be technologically savvy, self-motivated, reliable, and flexible. An interest in The Trustees mission is also important.

Position Summary:

The Trustees is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager who can implement an integrated marketing strategy that will drive attendance, program participation, Membership, and enterprise at Trustees properties, as well as key initiatives such as Art at the Trustees and Art & the Landscape. This position reports to the Director of Content and Marketing Operations and works closely with the Marketing team and other departments across the state.

 
Essential Functions: 

  • Create and execute marketing plans for key campaigns that drive awareness, grow our audience, and convert revenue and Membership for our properties and organization. Campaigns include but are not limited to Art & the Landscape and Art at the Trustees.

  • Produce monthly arts and culture newsletter and support content creation for other emails as needed.

  • Write and create content for Special Places, the blog, social media, press releases as related to key project assignments. Manage and update content on Trustees managed websites, as assigned.

  • Create content to support campaign execution across social media for related properties and initiatives.

Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and strategist with excellent writing skills and knowledge of standard marketing and public relations channels. The manager should be technologically savvy, self-motivated, reliable, and flexible.

Additional qualifications include: 

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, and public relations

  • Strong WordPress experience is required.

  • Expertise in creating digital media strategies and communications.

  • Deep knowledge of one or more of the following and the ability to learn: All social media platforms

  • Demonstrated ability to manage many deadlines, projects, and relationships.

  • Familiarity and understanding of communications strategy and best practices.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software applications.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage relationships across geographic distances and through a matrixed management structure.

  • Strong analytic and organizational skills; the ability to manage projects and workflow while using time and resources effectively.

  • Strong interest in building audience and constituency
