
Mass Audubon South East is looking for an experienced, passionate, creative and organized Education Coordinator.
The Education Coordinator position works as part of a dynamic team of staff who support education efforts at our sanctuaries, regional schools, community venues, and other locations. They will spend the majority of their time coordinating, developing, and teaching introductory level programs focused on current restoration efforts the importance of climate resilience, coastal restoration (including cranberry bog restoration) and pine barrens habitats to community members in accordance with Mass Audubon’s educational philosophy, goals, standards, and practices. They serve as a resource on natural history, environmental justice, and climate change issues for program participants, visitors, staff, and volunteers.
This Education Coordinator position designs, coordinates, and teaches K-12 environmental education programs for schools in the South East region. This position will also lead and coordinate adult and family programs throughout the South East. During the school year this position plans and implements in-school and afterschool nature and science enrichment programs. During the summer months this position leads adult and family education and outreach programs. Most of the duties occur on weekdays with occasional weekend or evening programs. During the summer (July and August) the regular schedule is Tuesday through Saturday. During the remainder of the year hours are typically Monday-Friday.
