The Massachusetts Marine Educators (MME) is the regional chapter of the National Marine Educators Association. MME is a dynamic, grassroots organization of teachers, informal educators, students, and educational institutional. The goal of MME is to develop a marine literate society and promote awareness of the ocean world by integrating marine studies into existing curricula.###MME helps to develop and share curriculum materials, holds frequent workshops and conferences, provides in-service teacher training, and facilitates networking to teachers and other educators. The Flotsam and Jetsam is an informative newsletter for members, providing information on programs and activities offered by MME and other organizations. MME cooperates with other educational organizations to advance the cause of marine education on the local, state, and national level.
